Gilbert Keith-Agaran, President
Mr. Keith-Agaron is an attorney with the Law Firm of Takatani and Agaron in Wailuku Maui. Prior to joining the firm, he was the Chairman of the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources and then the Public Works director for the County of Maui. Aside from his legal expertise, Gil brings a deep understanding of land issues and conservation in Hawaii.
Wesley Lo, Vice President
Mr. Lo, currently the CEO of Maui Memorial Center, has over 20 years of experience in banking and mortgage fields and is the past Director of Finance for Maui County.
Janice Lau Fergus, Treasurer
Ms. Lau brings a wealth of accounting experience to MCLT and presently works as Controller/Treasurer at Fergus & Co. in Kahului. She has served as a senior accountant at Ernst & Young and Vice President of Finance for ten years at Crazy Shirts.
Helen Nielsen, Secretary
One of the original founders of the Land Trust, business owner Nielsen is active in many of Maui's community projects, along with her husband Jonathan Starr. She also serves as President of the Maui Japanese Chamber of Commerce.
Susan Bradford
Professional counselor and owner of Employee Assistance Program of Maui, Ms. Bradford is a longtime board member for the Kihei Community Association and is a veteran of many ad hoc coastal preservation campaigns.
Lucienne de Naie
A leader in local environmental organizations, Ms. De Naie is well versed in the history and present condition of planning and preservation issues in Maui County and serves on several boards and county commissions. She brings a background in grant-writing and journalism.
Mike Foley
Recently retired as Director of Planning for the County of Maui. Mr. Foley moved to Maui in 1997 after serving as planning director for the cities of Davis, Napa and Sausalito, California. Foley also participated in Ka`anapali 2020, the planning forum for West Maui.
Bob Horcajo
Mr. Horcajo recently joined the executive board of directors after long service on our lands committee (which he now chairs). A native of the islands with an established career in real estate, he owns Kama`aina properties with new offices in Wailuku.
William Kamai
A Maui native with roots in Waihe`e and 25 years of experience in the building trades, Mr. Kamai is currently the Union organizer for the Hawaii Carpenter's Union.
Kimokeo Kapahulehua
A respected leader of the Hawaiian community, Mr. Kapahuelehua coordinated the beach restoration project at Kealia National Wildlife Refuge. He is President of the Kihei Canoe Club and works as the cultural resource specialist for the Fairmont Kealani Resort in Wailea.
David Mackwell
An active member of the Kihei Community Association, Chair of the South Maui Invasive Algae task force, and an avid student of the dynamic effects of variable winds at Kanaha and Ho`okipa, Dave brings his enthusiasm and work ethic to all areas of the Land Trust's activities.
Judy McCorkle
A principal of the FIM Group. Ms. McCorkle is a long-time community professional who has donated countless hours to make Maui a better place. Her skills as a financial investment manager and enthusiasm for the environment aid our mission immensely.
Zoe Norcross-Nuu
Ms. Norcross-Nu`u is a coastal geologist employed by the University of Hawaii Extension Service and Maui County Planning Department. She brings to the Land Trust her extensive experience in shoreline planning and her grant writing talents.
George Paresa, Jr.
A resident of Waihe`e with deep roots in the community, Mr. Paresa brings a strong commitment to the preservation of Maui. Following a childhood on Maui, he had the opportunity to live on the east coast and see firsthand how critical it is for land trusts to protect and preserve the rapidly changing landscapes. He now lives and works in Wailuku.
Jennifer Sabas
As Chief of Staff in the offices of U.S. Senator Daniel Inouye, Ms. Sabas has assisted MCLT in many projects over the years. We are fortunate to have her expertise and knowledge of federal programs and opportunities.
Hugh Starr
Mr. Starr has been a broker and land consultant of Maui for over 30 years, and was a founder and past president of Maui Open Space Trust.
Steve Still
Formerly the executive director of the Aspen ski resort and more recently the first CEO of the Maui Ocean Center, Mr. Still is now a broker with Windemere Realty.
Patricia Stillwell
Ms. Stillwell is a retired real estate broker with over 28 years of experience in real estate and community outreach. She is an active member of the Kihei Community Association, Kalama Park Action Team and Rotary Club
